Awesome Bike. Solid - Reliable - Looks Good - Only 1 Negative
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 04, 2017This is a GREAT Bike. The 883 actually has more Torque in my opinion than the 1200. The bike is easy to work on and maintain. It looks good and lots of MODS are available. A quality build. FUEL INJECTED! The only issue that I have is that the suspension is a little rough for the rider. Other than ... that, Awesome Intermediate bike!

Great Bike
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 27, 2017I mostly rode sport and off road motorcycles my entire life. I decided to purchase this bike and could not be happier with it. Fit and finish is outstanding. It has more suspension than the newer irons therefore more clearance in the twisties. Good power delivery but runs out in upper rpms, as do ... most air cooled cruisers. Overall, it has been a great around town, back road, cruiser. Not too big and not too small.

2008 HD Sporster xl883
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 18, 2015After having ridden several HD Dyna models with 88 ci; 96 ci & 103 ci powerplants, I expected the 883 to be somewhat slow and an under-performer. Acceleration was sluggish; but this bike is a joy to ride. It is not a long distance interstate hiway type cycle, but a real fun bike to run around locally. ...

08 Sporty best bike in the world
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 19, 2010Light, narrow, agile, with great flickability. No lumbering behemouth geezerglide bagger half-car size bike here. The Sportster engages, embraces, empowers and involves you. This bike OOZES soul with a connectedness to place all the way back to 1957. No Jap bike even comes close to it. This from ... one who rode them for near 40 years and turned wrenches as a professional mechanic. My 08 Sporty is supremely reliable, does not leak a drop and looks like James Dean. The EFI, rubber mounted engine Sportster is the best motorcycle on the planet in my opinion. And that's all I have to say about that.
