Best thing I ever did
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 24, 2012I have been riding since I was 13 and always on Hondas. I have nothing bad to say about them but after riding my first Harley wow what a difference! Power, Craftsmanship, Metal and handling. Nice!

Best thing I've done for myself in years!
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 23, 2010I've been riding since '72. This my first Harley and I'll never go back to a Japanese bike. I have many good things to say about my Hondas but they just don't compare to this Harley. The quality workmanship, and ride are second to none! Without question, buying this bike was the best decision I've ... made for myself in years!

Great Bike
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 16, 2009I purchased the 2009 FXD Superglide, while in Kuwait. I Picked it up at the Dealer in INDPLS in July 2009. It starts and runs great. I had a 1990 Electoglide Sport and this bike feels much lighter and is much easier to handle mainly in and out of the garage or in the parking lots. My friend has a ... 750 Suzuki Katana and tried the Harley. He was surprized at how quick it is. at 1500 miles I look forward to 7 years of trouble-free warranted use.

Super Glide is an awesome ride
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 28, 2009I just traded my 08 XL883 for a 09 super gilde. The ride is much softer due to a better suspension. The seat is much softer then the seat on the XL883. The power improvement is quite nice with the fuel injection and the rubber mounted engine. I have gone 0 - 65 in about three seconds flat.
...
I was suprised that with as much power as this motorcycle has it is still great on gas 35 mpg cty / 55 mpg hwy.
Another nice change going from the XL883 to the super glide is that the super glide does not have the rough engine vibration at 55 mph like the sportster did and with the six speed transmission it just wants to go and go fast.
Buying the super glide is the best money I have ever spent.

Sprotster to Dyna
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 16, 2009I bought a used 2003 Sportster 1200 for my first bike two years ago. Last year I traded it in for a 2007 1200 low. The difference was noticeable. Going from carburated to fuel injection was nice. Also the rubber engine mounts on the 07 made it a smoother ride. The new incentive program from Harley ... allowed me $9495 on my 07 that I paid $9100 for. Now i get my first new Harley 2009 with 8 miles on it tomorrow. The Dyna I have heard will be a nice step up and I can't wait!

A Cruiser that Still Gives You a Rush
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 31, 2009I just traded in my 08 Sportster XL 883C for basically is the same bike on steroids.
Looks the same except for the bigger barrels and is also longer. It even handles like the Sportser. Maybe not as nimble but that's Ok because as soon as I gun it on the on-ramp I forget about the agility ... of the Sporty.
Even starting the Big Twin is more invigorating. Once the solid pop is heard I'm off an running.
The shocks handle the pot holes a lot smoother also. The Sporty had a tendancy to bottom out and felt like slamming metal at times. Not so with the Super Glide. Smoooooth is all I can say.
Harley made it too easy for me to upgrade with their full MSRP trade in allowance and since I had put 8,000 miles on it in less than 6 months (OK I live in So Cal) $9,100 as trade-in value was sweeter than $5,000 ACV (actual cash value).
I am riding stronger and better now, but not to berate the Sporty, I loved every second of riding that little beauty.
See you out there!
