Triumph Bonneville Heuer Honors McQueen

Triumph Bonneville Heuer honors McQueen
The Bonneville Heuer is painted blue and orange to match the colors of the Porsche McQueens character drove in the film Le Mans. 2008 Formula One World Champion Lewis Hamilton presented the Bonneville Heuer in Paris.
The one-off Triumph Bonneville marks the 40th anniversary of the TAG Heuer Monaco watch. McQueen wore a Monaco watch in Le Mans and the Hollywood legend has a long connection with Triumph motorcycles so the Bonneville Heuer seemed a fitting match for both companies.

We are delighted to play our part in this exciting project. The Triumph Bonneville and TAG Heuer Monaco are both timeless masterpieces, celebrating their respective 50th and 40th anniversaries this year, says Neil Morley, Triumphs Head of Brand Communications. We also both have a natural connection with Steve McQueen, who famously wore a Monaco watch in the film Le Mans and was renowned for his love of our bikes, making this a very natural collaboration.

Triumph is also producing a line of vintage-styled McQueen apparel. Available in 2010, the line includes a jacket and T-shirt reminiscent of when McQueen raced in the 1964 International Six Days Trials on a Triumph 650.
