Castrol Honda's Tady Okada has put his early season troubles behind him andbelieves he is ready to take his first World Superbike championship race winat Donington Park for the sixth round of the World Superbike Championship next week.

The talented Japanese star - a former 500cc lap record holder at DoningtonPark - suffered engine problems in the first two rounds of the year butfinished second in the wet race in Australia, only for the second race thatday to be cancelled...

At Sugo in Japan, in round four, Okada suffered like teammate Colin Edwardswith a serious lack of rear grip. He then took a fourth place in last week'sItalian round at Monza.

A two-day test at Misano earlier this week has left the three-time AllJapan champion confident that his first win since joining the series is nottoo far away.

"The early part of the season has not been good for me but I enjoyed a goodrace at Monza last week and we've just finished a successful test where wereally improved the machine," Okada reports.

He continues: "Since riding the Castrol VTR for the first time in JanuaryI've always felt I could win races and I think that is now possible, starting at next week's Donington Park round.

"Donington is a hard circuit to get right but once you have a machine set upand the correct tires you can really enjoy racing there. I'm 13th in thechampionship and I'd like to be comfortably inside the top 10 by the time weleave Donington Park."
