Will you be in the Birmingham area between the days of November 9th and the 19th? If so, check out the annual International Motorcycle and Scooter Show located at the National Exhibition Center (NEC). On hand at the event, Honda will be offering free demo rides of select models. You can reserve specific models by calling the following number between 9 am and 5 pm Monday - Friday: 01536 206527.

Just what bikes will be available? Honda will have no less than 14 of their current model year 2000 bikes as well as some of their 2001 models. These models include the VTR1000 SP-1 (RC-51); CBR900RR FireBlade (CBR929RR); CBR1100XX Super Blackbird (just the plain ol' Blackbird for us Yanks); VTR1000F FireStorm (Super Hawk); ST1100 Pan European; X-Eleven; VFR800Fi (Interceptor); XL1000V Varadero; VT750 Shadow; NX650 Dominator; CB600F Hornet (faired and unfaired versions); XLR125; and the @125 scooter.

Other products on display will include a BAR Formula 1 racing car and the S2000 sports car, which produces 240 bhp from its normally aspirated, 2 liter VTEC engine.

Honda will also display its new 'Stealth' boat and a powerboat from the successful Formula Four-stroke one-make series. A range of ATV's, outboard engines, generators and lawnmowers will be displayed at the show.

Being the International Motorcycle and Scooter Show, however, bikes will dominate Honda's stand with more than 70 models on display, including Colin Edwards' Castrol Honda VTR1000 SP-1, winner of the 2000 World Superbike Championship in its first year of competition.

Other Honda activities for NEC visitors will include an internet café where customers can view pages from Honda's comprehensive website as well as the aforementioned demonstration rides.
