Graves offers Yamaha factory race parts

YEC products from World Superbike and World Supersport programs
By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Jan. 29, 2009
Graves Motorsports is now the exclusive U.S. distributor of Yamaha Engineering Corporation (YEC) Racing Parts.

YEC factory race kit parts, many of which are homologated for AMA Pro Racing in 2009, are drawn directly from Yamahas in-house World Superbike and World Supersport development programs. Access to this exclusive selection of factory parts, as well as Graves Motorsports new Works line, is only available at http://works.gravesport.com/.

This deeper strategic partnership with Yamaha and innovative website build on the Graves Motorsports philosophy of selling what we race and racing what we sell, bringing factory race parts to privateers, says Chuck Graves, owner of Graves Motorsports.

Parts used by Yamaha's factory teams are now available to the public.
Just as a generous helping of YEC bits grace Ben Spies World Superbike-spec R1, many of Graves Works pieces are identical to those on Ben Bostroms 2008 Supersport-title-holding R6 and the Graves Motorsports Yamaha Racing R1s that have won two Superstock championships. Both of these high-end performance parts selections are intended for use by top-level teams, builders and competitors.

Graves continues to research, develop and win races with factory and aftermarket accessories for hard-core R1 and R6 riders, says Mo Murray, general manager of Yamahas parts and accessory division. In addition, Yamaha remains committed to supporting the racing community with availability of both in-house and aftermarket racing components. Aligning with Graves to offer YEC race kit pieces exclusively through the Works retail channel was a natural for us.
