EICMA 2009: Triumph Bonneville Sixty

Limited run of 650 bikes a tribute to 1960 T120

By Motorcycle.Com Staff, Nov. 11, 2009
Triumph unveiled a special edition Bonneville inspired by the 1960 T120 model at the 2009 EICMA show in Milan, Italy.

Released a year after the first Bonneville was introduced in 1959, the Triumph Bonneville T120 featured a blue and gray color scheme and blade style mudguard. The 1960 Bonneville was also the first to have twin-clocks and a chromed headlight, features inherited by the modern T100.

The special edition Triumph Bonneville Sixty has the chromed headlight first introduced in the 1960 Bonneville T120.

To celebrate that lineage, Triumph is producing a limited run of 650 Bonneville T100s. The special edition Bonneville will have a special two-tone Meriden Blue/Caspian Blue color scheme with hand-painted pinstripes.

Each Bonneville Sixty will have a numbered plaque on the handlebar clamp and an individual certificate of authenticity.
