2020 Suzuki GSX-S1000

Suzuki’s Supersport heritage is front and center in the 2020 GSX-S1000 models. Powered by championship-winning, long-stroke GSX-R1000 engines, the naked roadster GSX-S1000 and the fully-faired GSX-S1000F bring Suzuki’s performance spirit to every ride. Riders will experience the GSX-S1000’s controlled muscle through a six-speed transmission, a special design clutch, and refined throttle mechanism that smooths shifting, engine braking, and power delivery. The chassis also shows its GSX-R pedigree with nimble and precise handling while providing comfortable ergonomics.

For 2020, the GSX-S1000 returns to Suzuki’s street-dominating lineup in Metallic Triton Blue, or a special, new Metallic Oort Gray/Metallic Matte Black paint scheme.

Like most of the best happenings in his life, Evans stumbled into his motojournalism career. While on his way to a planned life in academia, he applied for a job at a motorcycle magazine, thinking he’d get the opportunity to write some freelance articles. Instead, he was offered a full-time job in which he discovered he could actually get paid to ride other people’s motorcycles – and he’s never looked back. Over the 25 years he’s been in the motorcycle industry, Evans has written two books, 101 Sportbike Performance Projects and How to Modify Your Metric Cruiser, and has ridden just about every production motorcycle manufactured. Evans has a deep love of motorcycles and believes they are a force for good in the world.
