Suzuki has released yet another teaser for what is expected to be a brand new Katana model. This is actually the third video, with the first one released Sept 5 and the second last week. The first two didn’t show much, beside confirm the bike has something to do with a sword, but the latest video offers the first look at the 2019 Suzuki Katana’s fuel tank.

The fuel tank is only visible for a few seconds but enough to show a shape similar to the tank of the GS1100S Katana. Like the classic Hans Muth design, the tank’s profile tapers toward the rear relatively higher than most tanks do before meeting the sharply rising front end of the saddle. The shape isn’t exactly the same, however, as the top isn’t as flat and the fuel filler located farther back than on the previous design. And of course, there’s the font for “Suzuki” which looks similar to the label on the original.

Suzuki says there’s one more teaser to come, likely next Wednesday, and it will offer further clues to what the new Katana will look like. The official announcement will come Oct. 2 at the Intermot show in Cologne, Germany.
