With instant, fuss-free throttle response and great traction across the rev range, the 865cc parallel twin pumps out a full-blooded 72Nm of torque at a mere 3300rpm and peak power of 61PS at 6800rpm for a perfect balance of driving low-down and midrange performance.
Packed with plenty of thumping good vibrations, the Bonneville-based parallel twin air-cooled engine design incorporates a 270 crankshaft with added balancer shafts to deliver a smooth, pulsating drive for a natural, responsive feeling.
A deeply distinctive exhaust note matches the motors relaxed drive, and is delivered through characteristic splayed header pipes exiting into either the twin, tapered cones of the America and America LT, or through the Speedmasters slash-cut silencers.Chassis
