KTM Announces 2024 890 Adventure R Rally Pre-Order
KTM introduces the 2024 KTM 890 ADVENTURE R RALLY, a testament to their rally racing success and engineering expertise. This special model is set for pre-order availability starting September 20. Alongside its release, KTM has launched the ULTIMATE KTM DESERT EXPERIENCE event, exclusively designed for new bike buyers.
With a heritage deeply rooted in offroad racing, including iconic events like the Dakar Rally, KTM's commitment to their "READY TO RACE" ethos is evident in the 890 ADVENTURE R RALLY. Limited to only 700 units worldwide, this motorcycle offers unparalleled offroad capabilities, featuring components comparable to the 2023 Dakar Rally-winning KTM 450 RALLY bike ridden by Kevin Benavides.
Key Features:
Suspension: The KTM 890 ADVENTURE R RALLY boasts top-notch suspension technology, featuring the lightweight WP XPLOR PRO 7548 fork system with Cone Valve technology and the WP XPLOR PRO 6746 shock absorber, both from the WP Pro Components program. These components are derived from successful rally competition and deliver exceptional damping performance in challenging conditions. With 270 mm of travel, they offer superior comfort and control, whether on or off-road.
Engine: The 889 cc LC8c KTM engine is paired with the lightweight Akrapovič Slip-on Line exhaust system, similar to those used by KTM's factory racing teams. The motorcycle is equipped with Offroad ABS, Traction Control, TURN-BY-TURN+ navigation, and multiple ride modes to adapt to various terrains. The 5" TFT display, TECH PACK, and Connectivity Unit kit enhance the riding experience.
Control: The KTM 890 ADVENTURE R RALLY features a race-specific Rally seat, heavy-duty wheels (2.15x21" front; 4.00x18" rear) for rugged terrain, Rally footpegs for enhanced grip, carbon tank guards, and additional protection for the engine, rear master cylinder, and suspension. The Supersprox-Stealth rear sprocket and a new rally-inspired design complete the package.
In addition to the motorcycle launch, KTM offers an exclusive opportunity for 34 purchasers of the KTM 890 ADVENTURE R RALLY to participate in the ULTIMATE KTM DESERT EXPERIENCE. This event, set in Morocco, provides two date options: 3-7 March or 7-11 March 2024. Participants receive a full-factory-style package, including the use of a fully prepped bike, technical support, transportation, luxury accommodation for four nights, and a special night of desert camping, all for $5,400. The event includes three days of riding in the same area where the KTM Factory Racing Team conducts their Rally testing, ensuring a memorable offroad adventure.
