Upgraded to 1200S Monster
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 05, 2016Had a Ducati 696 and traded up for a 1200S. Night and day. The 696 is a farm implement compared to the newer monster. Don't get me wrong, love the 696 but this is a whole other animal!

Awesome bike for every situation.
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 14, 2015I can't tell how good this bike is on the canyons, I live in Florida. I'm not riding it on the track either. This bike has all the power that I could ask for and then some. I'm riding it all the time for short trips around 200 miles each way, going to the Keys or riding up north to Orlando. So far, ... not a small complaint. The average mileage that I'm getting it's about 45/53 miles, being used in Touring mode with engine in medium, ABS 1 and DTC 3. The engine it's "alive" in any range of the tachometer, the torque is amazing and passing on the back roads with two way traffic it's a breeze. Brembo's M50 on the front end, who could ask for better brakes? Is the same as the Panigale 1199. Ok, the rear brake isn't that good, but isn't bad either. The front suspenders and the rear shock from Ohlins are excellent, with or without my "girl" on the back, it's very comfortable. Nothing can be perfect, so...The TFT display it's almost impossible to see during day time, but at dark, looks awesome, but not having gear display and fuel gauge, what was that Ducati? Everybody complain about the foot peg be to close from the passenger pegs, that isn't a issue for me at all. The heat from the exhaust on a hot day is...Hot, very hot, that why I'm doing the ceramic coating on mine. The coolest part of it, is when you stop on a traffic light and people in the cars or other bikes gives you a thumbs up. That, no money can buy it.

Monster 1200 S... Great Bike!
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 12, 2015A very well balanced bike, excellent for street and canyons, very comfortable with or without a passenger. I've been riding sports bikes for 20 years, and I love them, but believe me, if you want to enjoy a great adventure day with a companion riding with you or simply want to have some spirit solo ... riding, this is the bike. Unique stile, tons of torque, very safe with abs and traction control, very customizable, what else can I say... what a joy! only little downside is the display as even though is great is sometimes hard to read depending on light conditions, but nothing critical. the other improvement would be the mode selector operated with the same turn signal cancel button. I'm sure ducati could have added an extra button to avoid going into mode selection if you press it when your turn signals are of. Other than that. It's the most enjoyable bike I've ever had!
