Trials is an incredible sport. What those competitors manage to do on two-wheels seems to disregard the laws of physics. I have to admit though, while I find the feats of trials riders’ gravity-defying moto acrobatics mind-boggling, I’ve maintained only a passing interest in trials that has rarely strayed further than spending more time than I should watching videos of Toni Bou, HRC’s 26-time world trials champion, on Instagram. That said, when the invite came through the MO inbox from GasGas to attend its inaugural California Trial Invitational in Murrieta, CA, I was more than willing to accept the assignment. 

A management presentation prepared by KTM‘s parent company Pierer Mobility reveals GasGas will introduce at least three streetbikes, including two 800-class models, a naked bike and an adventure-tourer, plus a 250-class naked bike.

We’re now well into the spring but that didn’t stop multiple-time FIM Trial World Champion Toni Bou from taking his Repsol Honda Montesa Cota 4RT out for a spin in the snow.

We’ve seen a lot of videos of people trying to load their motorcycles onto a truck, often by trying to ride it up a ramp. More often than not, these videos result in a massive fail.

In recognition of Father’s Day, this edition of the Weekend Awesome features a young French Trials rider training with his father. Hugo Dufrese, who was nine or 10 when this video was uploaded, is a member of Team Ossa France, currently competing in the Juvenile A class against older kids.
