If you’re a regular reader of Motorcycle.com, then you’ve probably noticed we’ve done a lot of shootouts this year. First, we put together a few middleweight Twins, then some extra-middleweight Twins, followed by a gang of lightweight twiddlers, then ending at the other end of the spectrum with the gnarly crew of heavyweight nakeds on the street and the track. The Hand-Painted Ducati Desmosedici GP Helmet
Ducatisti are nothing if not a passionate bunch. Ducati lovers worldwide are known for showing their displays of affection for their favorite Italian motorcycle in many ways, but Anton Henggono may have taken the cake with this one. What you see here is a Shoei X-Fourteen helmet Henggono designed to mimic Ducati’s 2016 Desmosedici GP MotoGP racer. And here’s the best part: there’s not a single sticker on the helmet. The entire design was hand painted by Henggono himself.
MotoGP 2015 Losail Results
There is a reason 36 year-old Valentino Rossi is still the most revered motorcycle racer on the planet. In his 313th grand prix start, Rossi, on the factory Yamaha, delivered a dazzling performance in the 2015 season opener, going hammer and tongs with factory Ducati #1 Andrea “DesmoDovi” Dovizioso all night before punking his compatriot by 17/100ths of a second to take the lead in the title chase for the first time since 2010.
