Incredible bike for the price

This is the best value in cruisers right now. The 950 Tourer is outfitted for almost everything you need in a light touring bike. You can't put the touring package together for the price you pay from Yamaha. The power is perfect for a daily driver in town, but also has plenty of get-up when you need... to take a highway. It's a low, easy-to-handle bike with enough weight to stop it from being blown around.

You may end up wanting a seat, as the stock seats are terrible. I also added progressive suspension to mine which smoothed out the ride. If you're willing to go a little extra, a slip-on muffler and an air kit will wring the last few extra horses out of this excellent motor.

V Star 950 Tourer

I purchased mine three months ago and have logged a bit over 3K miles. So far, so very good. Adequate power, decent brakes and very good looking, what else can I ask for? How about 50= MPG on a constant basis, never have gotten less but have gone as high as 54 MP...G. Coming from the sport touring and sport bike world, I don't drive it like a little old lady, my chicken strips are mandated by the limited lean angle.
It's a great bike for the money and if it proves to be as trouble free as my BMW I'll keep it for a 150,000 miles. Read Full Review
