Best All-Around Mid-Size Cruiser
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 16, 2021I have ridden the NC mountains annually since 2011. First, on a 2006 Yamaha VSTAR cruiser and the in 2010 on a 2009 VSTAR Silverado cruiser. Hands down, negotiating The Dragon and The Snake and the numerous curves on the scenic back roads was refreshing and effortless. Perfect cycle!

Vstar 650 Silverade After Year One Review
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 02, 2012I bought it new. .1 mi on the odometer. Broke it gently and did the service myself. I love this bike. I've ran 90 miles an hour two up on the interstate, way faster than I drive my truck. I always get head turning compliments on the bike. I can keep up with my friends on the interstate. Fuel economy ... is not what they advertise. I get around 45. It definitely needs a 6th gear. We've taken two 250mi trips on it. Only complaint is the seats are uncomfortable. This bike is carbuerated not fuel injected. It gets very hot at the red lights. 4 hrs one way or day trippers its perfect for. I wouldnt want to ride for an 8-10 hr day on it. Could use a bit more power but, you can add a hypercharger, aftermarket exhaust and rejet which will update the sound, performane and appearance. Price to Value wise you cant go wrong.

Comparable to harley heritage softail
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 22, 2011I love my bike! Sitting beside my husbands 08 Harley heritage softail it looks just like it. Of course I paid less! It handles very nicely in town and highway speeds. It could use a 6th gear when on the interstate which is most of my miles. I recommend this bike with the windshield and saddle bags. ... Great for carrying chaps, lunch or shopping. Only bad thing is dealer didn't tell me when I was breaking in the bike that gas mileage may not be great right away. I ran out of gas at 104 miles. Should have gotten 200 min. but they didn't tell me that. I was mad. So beware if you get a new bike and have to break it in that mileage right away may not be what you think it should be so check your gas tank often.

A Big Bike Except In Engine Size & Price
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 15, 2010If your looking for a bike that gives you the looks & feel of a big bike but don't plan on long trips or extended highway speeds, then this is a great bike to consider. The engine will pull this bike at 70mph but seems a bit busy. In town & on 60mph roads, its perfect. On weekend Poker Rides along ... two-lane highways you won't be embarassed.

be cautious
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 29, 2009I own one, overall nice bike. comfortable, handles well, looks good. However I have had continuous problem with the fuel injection. the bike runs too rich. it has been on a dyno 4 times, and had to add apower commander. still has problems
