    After taking the MTC I plopped down $9K ( out the door) for a 2008 Yamaha Road Star S with 3,300 miles on it.

    The bike has been very good for me-scary at first-but now after 150 miles of country roads and freeways, I'm really enjoying the solid and stable feel. I'm 6'4" 240 lbs and ...

    I guess the bottom line is I love the bike. It's powerful but easy to handle with it's low center of gravity. You won't regret buying this motorcycle if you're a beginner.
