2007 Yamaha V Star Classic

it was my first bike and I bought it brand new in 2008....ran great...multiple trips to thunder beach in panama city beach fl, biketoberfest and bike week in Daytona beach as well as trips home to Georgia....was a great riding and handling bike....in 2015 the stock seat got to where it was not comfortable ... so I replaced it with a set of mustang seats and all of the previous discomfort went away...for communications reasons with friends and highway info, I added a J&M CB radio with a 4 foot K-40 fiberglass antenna... all in all it was a great bike perfect for first time riders due to east of handle...

This is my first Yamaha V Star. It's a 2007 with aftermarket pipes. I really enjoy riding the V- star because they're extremely light (even the bigger CC). The V-star also has an advantage over the majority of other bikes in that it is perfect for short people. I am 5"2' and have very short legs. ... I can ride any V-star without shortening it. I really enjoy the V-stars all in all.

Already owned a Road Star when my wife showed an interest in learning to ride. I bought her a fully dressed 2007 650 V Star Classic and we both are very pleased with it. I was pleasantly suprised with the accesories available and have already added a Hypercharger, V&H exhaust, and jetted the carbs. ... The little bike has plenty of power even with two riders with a combined weight of 360+ lbs. Fuel mileage is staying between 48-50 mpg. Even though the bike is capable of +/- 105 mph it's seems more at home at speeds of 65 and below. The V Star feels a little cheap and primative compared to my Road Star, well it is cheaper than a Road Star and almost 300lbs lighter and with a single disk front and rear drum brakes and absence of a fuel gauge it is a little primative, but that's what makes it afortable entry level bike. I would recommend the V Star 650 to anyone just learning to ride or someone getting back into riding, you get the looks and style of the bigger more expensive bikes in a lighter more manageable package at a great price. Biggest problem I have with the little V Star is all of the compliments it gets over my old school, black, solo seat, drag pipe, stripped down Road Star!

I purchased a used 650 with 3260 miles on it last weekend and have not been on a bike in 20 years at least. I found it very easy to master. A good smooth ride even at interstate speeds. Great bike for the first timer or novice.

I purchased this as my first bike ever! It is a V Star Classic 650cc with only 250 miles on it as of 2008. I have put on 4,000+ miles on it from September of 08 to September 09. I love this bike. It has the factory seat, which is very comfortable for my longer rides of 200 miles (since I am a newbie), ... wider tires provide very good stability on many different road surfaces (doesn't pull on graded roads, grated bridges,etc), with a lower center of gravity it is fairly easy to handle (seeing how I am a slender female). Many people see me pull up and cannot believe that I can handle a bike this size, looks are a little deceiving...looks much bigger than some HDs! Mine is black and very sleek looking. I have had the oil changed and it will be going in for some regular maintenance work. But hardly any problems at all. Awesome bike!
