2 bikes 10 years 50,000 miles each
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 01, 2020Bought the first bike and put 25,000 miles on it the first year. Rode every day in the mid west. Love the handling even in inclimate weather. Sent the first bike to a family member at 75,000 miles. Took the motor all the way down and looked it over, not hardly any wear in it. New seals and sent it ... on. He has had no issues with it since he's had it. More than 5 years. Simply rode the second bike. Wife would like a better passenger seat, but admits it is much better than previous bike seats. Pipes and a tune and the bikes really talk. Hard to ride anything else after being on a strat. The power and balance is just perfect.

Bad ass bike
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 01, 2019I have a 2006 Midnight. No bags, no windshield. I owned Harley's all my life. I am 69, been riding big bikes for over 40 years and this is the best they have. When I got it l was cruising at 60mph, hit the throttle and for the first Time in many years felt fear. What a rush. Only problem, my speedometer ... housing seal went and condensation ruined it. Very expensive.

AWESOME BIKE
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 09, 2010I'm probably a guy's dream wife :o)
My husband has had a Yamaha virago 80's vintage and all of our friends go "cruising" around the country on their BIGGER TOURING bikes. I knew that my husband really wants to see the US on a "bike". So I had a few dollars left in my trust account and decided ... to surprise him for his 53rd birthday. This bike started out as a pearl white roadliner and the private party we purchased it from totally added over $18,000. worth of chrome side bags, custom seats, etc etc. and I purchased this bike for a song and a dance for my husband. He's...WE're thrilled with it. We've gone into 2 states now, and it's so comfortable, and it handles like a dream. We give it 5 stars.

A little guy can ride this bike.
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 25, 2009I bought this bike new in 06 and have 25,000 miles on it. I am 5'7" and 68 years old. This bike is extremely well balanced. The only problem for the small guy is the reach to the handle bar. This was easly solved with a Corbin Close Solo seat and a set of riser which brough the handle bars back ... one and a half inches. With these two modifications This bike has been one of the best bikes I have ever riden. It handles well on the interstate and just as well on that mountain road with all those curves.

6,000+ miles and still very pleased
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 09, 2009I've owned this particular bike for 23 months and have about 6,500 miles on it. Most of the riding has been in town with the exception of a few 200 mile day trips. Likes - the size and feel of the bike. I'm 6'2" and 215 and the bike just feels right. The seat height is just right for me. It's ... a very comfortable bike to take on day trips but does get a little "heavy" just riding around town. Dislikes - the stock exhaust and the stock seat. For a bike this size, the stock exhaust makes it sound very whimpy! I was also unimpressed with it's stock performance. I quickly added a Power Commander to the bike (with stock exhaust) and it was money well spent. A couple months later I added an exhaust system and am now thrilled with the performance (and sound) of the bike. I'm still trying to figure out what seat to go with. The stock seat is good for about a half hour and then I'm looking for a break. I can't imagine doing a long distance trip with the stock seat!

If you agree with the W.O. Bentley philosophy that "there is no replacement for displacement", keep reading...
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 27, 2008First off, this bike is not for the timid. Likewise, this is not that pretty first bike you've been looking for. It's heavy, and at very low speeds, say under 2-3 mph, it can really show its weight. That said, once underway the comfy saddle, tall windscreen and floorboards make long stretches ... of highway fly-by with ease. But with 1853 cc's between your legs this is one of the baddest boulevard cruisers around if you choose; once you remove the windscreen and backrest that is. Both the windscreen and passenger backrest come off in seconds and are so nicely designed that the pair can be removed in less than a minute with ease, and even the hardware left on the bike is barely noticeable. Further little touches all over this bike-such as the deep, brilliant two-tone paint, flawless chrome, and complete lack of exposed welds- just exude an over-the-top style that feels luxurious and inviting. It is simply at the top of its class. Plus, did I mention the 1853cc (113 cubic inch) air-cooled engine with exhaust bypass valve? The fact that it has 3 times the usual number of injectors and dual spark plugs per cylinder for better combustion? The list could continue, but trust me when I say that for the individual in search of a monster V-twin which draws some great attention, you MUST ride this bike.
