Fabulous 60's
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 16, 2008They are back and better than ever. Having owned a "real" cafe, that restricted my activites to 50 miles burns around the local neighborhood pubs, this 2006 version from Triumph gives the confidence and reliability to go cross country. So I did...
Packed it up with a sleeping roll ... and a back pack of essentials, I left Houston and forged a 2 lane only, limited interstate use, treck to the great state of Oregon. Along the way stopping for bystander questions and awes almost as oftem as the sites themselves.
The bike performed flawlessly; never a hiccup. While the touring range is fairly limited by it's 3.8 gallon tank (it is truly a cafe racer afterall) the 125-140 miles betweeen stops provided just enough saddle time to put good miles between me and home, but also preventing too much wrist and back aches.
I can honsestly say after just over 3500 miles in 4 days, that we can now trust English twin reliability just as much as we love the English twin bike aura.
