    I have a 2005 Triumph Rocket III. I have rode many different sizes of bikes. I've rode sport bike and cruisers and this bike if by far my favorite. More horsepower and torque than most will ever need. Great handling at all speeds. And will always catch eyes and turn heads. Not many of them ...

    One of the first Rocket III sold & it came with a John Bloor signed certificate. Great bike. I;ve got 57,000+ miles on it and Triumph has fixed any and all problems I had with a new model out of the box.

    As an avid Triumph fan, I have to admit when I first saw the prototype photos of the Rocket III back in 2003, I thought to myself "That is the ugliest thing ever on two wheels! A Yugo motor in a bike?" It is a much, much better looking bike in person though. Pictures do not do it justice!

    I was an owner of a 2000 Triumph Thunderbird Sport back then. A wonderful bike that I put 42,000 miles on. I found myself going on longer and longer trips though, and the "TBS" is just not the greatest long distance tourer, try as I might to make it one.

    I purchased my Rocket III in December 2005. It is a very early model manufactured in July 2004. As of Sept 2008 I have over 37,000 miles on it.

    The Rocket III offers the three things I really want in a bike, all in one bike! It is a bar hopping hot rod, a great commuter bike, and a great long distance tourer as well! Just a matter of minutes to switch between each "mode".

    My accessories include the Triumph fly screen, Corbin Beetle hard bags, Triumph Roadster screen, Triumph Off-Road pipes, Catylitic Converter by-pass, Power Commander III, K&N air filter, Kuryakyn flame grips, and Flipmeister brake line clamps.

    Mine has been trouble free until just recently, I believe the Throttle Position Sensor, that controls engine idle, is going bad and the bike will barely idle. The only other problem that needs to be addressed when you first get the bike is the rear shocks. They are very over sprung, and severely under damped. I have yet to make this change though and I am still alive and I believe all of my vertebrea are still in tact!

    I guess the main things to complain about are the rear shocks, the $200 rear tire needing to be replaced every 10,000 miles MAX!

    But, if you want one of the quickest bikes off the line, and yet still be able to ride across country and get 35 - 40 MPG, you can't beat the Rocket!
