clutch/belt probs
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 27, 2009I brought mine in to nv suzuki...burnt out clutch belt rollers gears etc 2000 bucks worth.at 8911 miles on it ..well mark at suzuki c/s
told me no problem he was going to cover all the costs(yea ALL under warranty).Seems like all the burgman 400cc bikes in 2009 have a 5 shoe malosi clutch ... in them vs the 3 shoe clutch that was burnt out in mine.and a new kevlar belt and titainium rollers etc and so thats what they put in the bike runs great now but really they need a 500cc mid range modedl for quicker piacups from start. Othwerwise a very comfortyable bike. Allen las vegas nv

Wow!!!
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 13, 2009As a new Burgman 400 owner, I would like to share my initial thoughts on this great ride. First...gorgeous machine, beautiful lines, great ruby red colour. Great balance, pick up and highway ride...even with two up. My wife and I weigh in at 460 lbs combined...and we just weigh in under the 911 ... total gross weight allowance for the bike. Very smooth and powerful and exciting to ride...and just as soon as the weather warms up [we live in Ontario] we plan some wonderful day trips. I've had a half dozen bikes in the past...and this is by far the nicest ride.

Incredible
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 30, 2009This is one of the most incredible vehicles I have ever owned. I bought for my wife but ride it frequently. The handling is great, the acceleration is excellent for a single with an automatic and the brakes are unbelievable. The storage under the seat holds two helmets and a jacket or 5 2-liter drinks ... and a small bag of dog food. It will even hold 2 large carryout pizzas setting level. It has two locking helmet hooks for when the under seat area is full. Plus a glove boz and two covered dash bins. All the time it is getting 65 mpg or better.
