    I bought a used 2006 Burgman 650 Executive with 12,000 miles driven. This week, with 24,000 miles on the 650, the Primary Stopper bolt sheared. The cost to repair $3200.00. The approx. worth of the 650 $3500 to $4000.00. I am caught between a rock and a hard place. I would not trust ...

    I bought my first 650 Burgman in 2003 and toured the country on it. We did the 4 Corners Tour, rode the Tail of the Dragon and attended the Sturgis Rally. It did everything I asked of it: Solo & 2-Up, freeways and back roads, poker runs, daytrips and over-nighters.

    I'm a member of the AMA and a lifelong motorcycle rider of 50 years. I had an ElectraGlide Ultra Classic when I bought the first Burgman and I was so impressed with the scooter that I sold the HD within 3 months and haven't missed it one bit. Being "shiftless" has spoiled me for good.

    There are limitations - suspension travel/compliance for one - but the benefits in comfort, weather protection and storage far outweigh the negatives.
