A great bike except for one flaw for which I've found a moderate solution.
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 27, 2012This bike is retro style; brings me back to my riding days in the 1970's. My bike then was a Honda CB350. This 2012 TU 250X is a great looking bike that gives phenomenal mileage; I have been getting from 85 to 89 miles per gallon! The seat is very comfortable and the pillion is a reasonable size ... for a passenger. Acceleration is surprisingly good, and the bike is comfortable to ride at typical urban street speeds. The only problem is excessive handle grip vibration transmitted from the engine when riding at highway speeds. My hands have actually gone numb and it has given me some Carpal Tunnel Syndrome problems. I have purchased two different specialized gel gloves, which only helps somewhat. The vibration problem may be a function of there being only one cylinder, but Suzuki needs to find a way to dampen it at 50 mph and above. In the end, I ride with a fingerless pair of leather weight lifting gloves tucked in a leather motorcycle glove, which allows me to at least continue riding and commuting 24 miles to my workplace. Love the bike except for this one problem.
