  • First bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Oct 14, 2010

I bought this bike as my first bike. the only regret i have is that winter is coming and i should have gotten a car (live in CT) but other then that i wouldn't want any other bike. I was thinking to myself it was to much bike for me but i just haven't tried it out and gotten on it yet because i know ...

  • 2 years in and still in love
By  (I am an Owner) on Jun 21, 2010

I started my mid life crisis with a suzuki gsf500

and then a sv 650 and then an affair with a Honda

CBR 600 and it rocked. Then I came back to reality

and bought my white GSX 1000R and have not looked,

strayed or even touched another bike. Okay I lied,

    I had a ...

But I always go back to the saddle that fits me

like a glove and knows just how to make me feel

    like a grown man.

  • Lack of Torque
By  (I am an Enthusiast) on Jan 10, 2010

This is my 44th motorcycle, my fourth Suzuki 1000 and my 2nd GIXXER. Overall I found the 08 model to be a disappointment compared to my 04 model. The 08 lacks the low and mid range punch of my 04 which could easily loft the front wheel at any speed. Serious fun on the 08 dosent begin until almost ...

  • Army guy with a 2k8 1000
By  (I am an Owner) on Jun 02, 2009

The gsxr is powerful, and fun to ride. Had it for almost a year now but I had a chance to ride my friends 08 1000rr and I liked how that bike was so much lighter. I like my gsxr but I might end up trying the new 09 to see if I like it better.

  • Awsome bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Nov 03, 2008

This is my first motorcycle, and it problably was not the wisest decision as a first bike, but it has worked out rather well. This bike is so easy to ride it is unbelievable, and it is actually pretty comfortable too. The adjustable foot pegs are a big plus. I have a 75 mile commute to work (150 ...

  • simply the best liter bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Oct 17, 2008

most people would agree, getting a liter bike as your first street motorcycle perhaps may not be the smartest thing. unless you get the GSXR 1000. with the ability to choose between the power of a 600, 750, or full blown 1000 simply by flipping a switch, you can now GROW INTO YOUR 1000! no need to ...

  • Great bike to ride and to with stand a crash
By  (I am an Owner) on Oct 17, 2008

My now husband had this bike a loved it. It was his baby. Unfortuntly he crashed, the bike was totaled however he didn't die. This is an awesome bike and I loved riding on the bike on our short and long trips around Arizona. Now that he's recovered he's ready to get a new one and he'll get another ...

    This is a great bike!

I've included some pictures of him and his bike before and after the crash. The physican said it was amazing that he lived.. He recovered really fast even after having to get a cadaver bone in his foot/ankle.

  • The bike that never fells you.
By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 27, 2008

In april i purchased my 2008 gsxr 1000, which i believe is the best thing i did. The power range is strong in all three areas. when it comes to describing my bike i call it the beast. long road trips cruising in 6th gear to save gas the bike still pulls when you give a twist to the wrist. The bike ...

Strong power delivery while in a tight lean does'nt disturb the bike. Ride and comfrot is great add a gel seat and its even better. The brakes are good but could be better, but with engine braking stopping power is great. All together the bike is great in all areas, if i had to recommend a bike to someone suzuki is where its at.
