2012 Suzuki DR-Z 400S

Great motorcycle so far. Nimble and responsive bike. Picked the DRZ 400 S after much thought. It's main job is a commuter for getting to work and back home. 70 miles on this bike and its getting the advertised 65mpg even during the break in. Changed the oil/filter at 50 miles. Been doing roll ons ... and varying rpms while I ride. Very pleased with the bike. Can't what to hit some trails after the break in is over. Had a KLR 650 a year ago. Some idiot in a cage turned in front of me at a light. The DRZ 400 S is a much lighter bike. Handles tons better. I am sure it will be a way better trail bike. The trade off between the two bike is highway travel. I wish this thing had a 6th gear.

Bike is great on and off road. Simple to Operate and fun! Staring when cold is a bit tough. Front brake cable holder on left fork tube came off after trail riding in NC, rubbed brake cable raw a bit. Factory needs to go down 2 teeth on rear sprocket if you want enjoyable highway speed. Quite ... a bit of vibration at higher speeds due to single 400. If you have one enjoy it... I know I am.
