In Love with GZ250
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 05, 2012My Wife has been riding this model since she was 18. She sold it one winter hoping to get a bigger bike. She regetted this after shopping around and test driving other bikes. two years later she found one for sale in the newspaper and we jumped on it and paid the asking priceknowing these bikes are ... a diamond in the rough. Last year we only filled the tank twice with about 10$ of gas (about 64 mpg). that is with nearly daily use, then after it got to cold to ride I would bundle up and take it out at least weekly. it has alot of low end power for a 5 speed with a small engine 249cc. On the free way with wind against you this bike will struggle to keep up with Utah (75-80mph) traffic but i have reached 85 mph (I weigh 175) which shows it can go when you need it to. This bike is perfect for shorter riders learning pitfalls like gravelly intersections, or less confident female riders that still want the freedom and thrill of bolting around town but don't want to dump 8,000 into a shiny toy. you can get one off the floor never been ridden for around 4,000 we got ours used due to financial limitation for 1800. We will not be selling this bike and are constanly impressed by its durablilty and simplicity.
