Wow thought I'd never like a cruiser
By (I am a Writer) on Aug 29, 2020I have had 04 GSXR 750, 08 GSXR1000, CBR929. Went 4 years without a bike. And I started looking around for a street bike but a friend of the family had his bike he had since 2006 He told me I'd like it .i went to look at it And could tell I'm the Garage with the cover on it was a cruiser and I started ... to walk away until he pulled the cover off. It's a pearl white with ghost flames beautiful chrome ... I set on it and started it .... thought not to bad but after I drove it , I was hooked . Picked it up today and it has 4700 miles on it it's in perfect shape 1 owner garage kept paid $2500. I picked it up today best birthday present I could get. To anyone who thinks these bikes are slow or not as good as a street bike . Let me say 3 things.
1. So much more comfortable riding it , plus passenger has better seat and back rest.
2. May not go 202mph like my gsxr but she has mega power and get up for a 805cc. Handles like a dream.
3.Looks like a Harley to most people .
Conclusion I've road Harley, triumph , Honda cruiser and was not a fan . This is my bike till forever . I'll never sell it !!

First street bike
By (I am an Owner) on May 25, 2016As a first time buyer and 41 years old I wanted a motorcycle that was large in appearance and would catch the attention of onlookers. This motorcycle for first time motorists offers more than enough power to pull you and a passenger without feeling stress on the engine. This bike offers the Big Bike ... feeling and is extremely comfortable when traveling long distances. I love the look and feeling when riding this motorcycle. The only complaint I have and it's not really a complaint is the bikes size does not match the noise coming from the quiet exhaust lol. The bike literally needs more of a ROAR. Fantastic awesome bike.

great buy
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 04, 2012I am 15 and just purchased this bike with less than 4000 on it. tons of torque and power especially for one person. fuel injection is a major plus that competitor bikes dont have. water cooled which in my opinion puts it way past harley 883 and duece. i would rather ride the boulevard than my dads ... road king because it rides and sets so much better. i recommend drag pipes and for anyone wanting to up the power add a 300 dollar cobra fuel processer.

electrical problems
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 18, 2012first i was wondering why i was seeing so many 2006 c-50 for sale here in az. did some calling and the bikes where having problems with ignation switch(used switch around $200.00 no recall), then under gas tank more wiring problems-but they did some recall on this. only on certaion bikes. one guy ... almost had to replace his whole wiring harness with no recall on his cycle. and the bike only has around 7,000 miles on it. he made almost 50 long distant calls to Suzuki company and got nothing but the run around. so, what's the problem with this-just wonder, i was going to get a 2006 at a very low price. i have a 2004 volusia and a 2008 boulevard with no problems both have over 35,000 miles on them.

One awesome bike
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 11, 2011Bought my used C50 with a little over 11,000 miles on it. Been riding for about a month and put another 1000 miles on it. Straight C50 but with bags and a shield and a gel seat. When I first started riding it, she pulled to the left hard at freeway speeds. I removed the windshield and it helped, ... but didn't fix it. After about a month now of riding, she doesn't do it much anymore. I'm chalking it up to my squid status. This morning's ride was freezing cold, so I'll be re-installing the windshield soon. Love the bike, love the ride. It's very smooth.

2006 Susuki Boulevard C50
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 19, 2010I love this bike. The center of gravity is near perfect. Smooth riding bike for its size although I now I wish it was a little faster or had another gear. One day I may move up to the C90. I also wanted to say I cut out the baffels in the stock exhaust. It sounds really great, but with a down side. ... I went from around 43 mph to 36 mph. Turned out to be a big sacrafice. I do tend to get on it harder though, which could be a little of the loss in mileage because it sounds so damn good.

Great Mid-Size Cruiser Value
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 01, 2010I bought my used C50 in 2007. The bike had just 1000 miles. I've put 7500 miles on it since and have no virtually problems. It's not particularly fast but has plenty of torque and adequate performance for just about any country cruising condition. A sixth gear would be nice at highway speeds ... to reduce vibration but the bike is just fine all day long at 50-60 MPH. It looks and rides great for an 800 cc bike and was thousands less than a HD.
The C50 Boulevard is definitely at the top of the mid-size cruisers class in 2006.

best mid-size cruiser
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 14, 2009If you are out for a cruiser you owe it to yourself to stop and check out the C50s. If you get a chance to ride one do so. To a blind person you put the C50 and a harley Fatboy side to side and start them it would be hard to pick out the Harley. At $10,000 different in price it is a no brainer. The ... C50 runs cooler and handles much better. So why not buy it. But if you still need to buy in to the name it will cost you a extra $10,000.00.
I was about to do just that untill I road both. Granded the harley had more power, but ran super hot. If you want more power set up to the C90, But I found for half city and half highway the C50 does the job. Don't get me wrong the harley is a great looker, but I wanted to ride not look at it.

Great all-around bike
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 06, 2009I love this bike. But, I'm not a squid.
The C50 is the newer brother to the Volusia. As such, there is a good selection of 3rd party add-ons. Not 2" thick catalogs like for HD - but still very customizable.
This bike is very nimble - very well mannered. It is easy ... to control for low-speed, tight maneuvers - such as in the parking lots - easy to do u-turns on narrow streets without duck-walking it around.
I'm not a tall guy (5'-7", 32" inseam) but this bike is very comfortable. I added some pull-back risers and a Mustang seat and I'm in heaven.
It's not the fastest bike on the road. But, it still has plenty of power for 2-up riding around town, and single riding on the highway. It can't keep up with the 1500cc+ monsters (acceleration is a crawl above about 70 mph), but it's still more than sufficient for a single non-squid rider. It's fine for inter-state travel on the highways.
For the price, comfort, handling, and customizability, this is a great bike.

Easy to Ride, Easy to Personalize
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 16, 2008Bought new in August of '07, zero miles on her. Nearing a year and a half and over 8,000 miles, I am now certain I made the right choice for a first bike.
I've been on a number of 2,3, and 4 hundred mile treks, never a problem. Great mileage, but, I had to make a few alterations to make ... the bike comfortable for me. Mustang seat, a must for long rides. Kick-back risers (4") for the handlebars, better posture and a more laid back ride. Bags for essentials and a back rest for the wife or daughter and both love the back of the Boully. All simple additions.
I'm 6' tall and 275lbs. The wife's not small either. This Bike has no problem hauling both of us, or, keeping me up with the big boys on the long rides. Handles like a dream. I'll take this opportunity to recommend the MSF course for all, helped me a great deal.
Above the reliability, and at under 600 lbs., great handling, it's a looker. Many compliments. Lots of chrome and beautiful styling, Highly recommended to friends looking for a bike.
Looking at going Cross Country this year.
