2009 KTM 1190 RC8

I’m just back from the 2009 motorcycle show in South Carolina, as I strolled through the show I noticed the RC8, actually I didn’t know Ktm produced a superbike. At first glance I thought what a radical look and pleasantly surprise I wasn’t seeing another bland copy of another production superbik...e, once I walk up to the bike I said to myself, Someone did a great job on the cosmetic of the bike, the curves flow from front to back nicely , in either color Orange or black. Walking around the bike, the frame and mechanical parts seem to fit well and flow seamlessly.

I throw my leg over the bike and immediately no pains to the wrist or elbows and my knees felt comfortable for a 5 8 180 lbs. My sneaker heal just nearly touches the rear swing arm. Clutch felt easy to pull with just three fingers. Instrument panel and surrounding look fine. Mirrors seem to pull in a good image. The front and rear led’s look great. Bike weighs in at 414 and this is a v-twin. I am already locating my nearest ktm dealer and take this bike for a demo ride. I have not been this excited since my last ride – rc51.
