Great Fast Reliable
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 18, 2012Mine has 20,000 miles on it-no issues. It's very fast w/100 RWHP and I can blow away almost any car and probably 90% of other bikes. Maintenance has been easy. It has always started up and never has left me stranded-and its 7 years old. Wind protection is great. Very maneuverable and lightwieght. ... I cannot believe they didn't give this bike a chance in the US market. Now there's not a bike for anywhere close to the MSRP of this bike with the same performance these days. If you can find one used snatch it up.

Great all around Bike
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 17, 2008I wrote this a day ago and the number of helmets was changed from what I originally put, so I will try again:
I have had my Z for 3 years now and love riding it. This is my 2nd bike (1st was a Ninja 250). I wanted a bike that I could ride all day, had performance, style and versatility. ... It was between this, the FZ6 and a new one year old Honda 599. This had the largest engine, most comfortable riding position, newest technology and best wind protection of the 3. The bike rides great, power comes on smoothly, except from a stop. If you are accelerating away from a stop it has to go through a dip in power first. Once it hits though, hold on.
I did replace the cardboard covered in vinyl with a corbin seat and I raised the handlebars up an inch. The bike is ride all day comfortable now.
It handles well, not supersport caliber, but good enough. It has been extremely reliable and is extremely unique. In the 3 years of owning it I have never run into anyone else on one.
I have never thought twice about my decision to purchase this bike and I do recommend it for the casual rider, commuter and for someone that wants something different.
