Sport bike for an old fart

I'm 56 years old, been riding for about 40 years. When I sold my V65 Magna I was lost. The cruisers, V twins to me are turds. The Organ doner bikes would break my back. Tourning bikes NO WAY.

Then I found the ZRX reviews. Power is great with the pipe and rejeted carbs.

I put on a Corbin seat ...and bar risers and geeeez a decent seating possition great power, very nice handling and all for less than $4000 bucks. It only had 11000 miles on it and was in mint condition. I'm smiling again!

Torque

Torque always available, from easy starts to rolling it on after a turn.



Zero problems in 4000 miles I've owned it. Valves spot-on at 12,000 miles.



Front suspension a little harsh. Sitting position for rider great, passengers legs cramped.



Great value, very versatile and trustworthy.... Best looking bike on the road, IMHO, often gets compliments.

A cult bike, without TOO much bloodletting.

Drop a "tuned for torque" ZX-11 motor into a double-downtube frame add reasonably modern suspension leave the bodywork at the factory and you've got a UJM that will out-thrust most other (non-liter racereplica) bikes.



It big and heavy, and other bikes have been known to take corners bet...ter, but for most part, aim the bike towards the apex and apply thrust to stand back up. It doesn't even matter what gear you're in, usually.

Classic UJM functionality includes a good riding position, visable gauges, an excellent nightime headlight, and an excellent aftermarket.

And, at the end of the day's events, park it in the yard and admire it while sipping a few brews. It's the same bike you had 20 years ago, offered now with modern maintenance intervals, reliability, and performance.

Great retro hot rod

I had a 1981 GPS 1100 23 years later I walk into the dealership and here is a brand new version. Looks almost exactly like the original (red) stainless 4 into one header. With the Modern updates this thing is just plain cool. Runs great Smootchie powerful comfortable. I love thi...s thing. If you really want to enjoy motorcycling this might just be the ticket.

Applause to Kawasaki for bringing out this machine. And by the reaction I get from real motorcyclists...I know its a winner.
