Great Performance
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 08, 2014I recently purchased one of my dream bikes a Ninja 636 to upgrade from my SV650. It is a different animal having a 4cyl vs a Vtwin but the 636 has a great amount of powerand is still fun to drive on the streets when you get it over 6K rpm there is enough power to pep you around. The aesthetics of ... this bike are great, it is one of the sleekest looking bikes around. The lime green stands out from everyone else and I really enjoy the look of the headlights. One issue is the digital tach which can be hard to read in the sunlight and at quick glance at speed where there is not a needle to catch your eye. But learning the feel of the bike makes the need for a tach almost useless. The MPG is not nearly as good as my SV650 which gets around 57-61mpg consistently while the 636 gets around 40mpg or so. Overall value the bike is great, you can get one for fairly inexpensive compared to the other 600cc bikes of the same year. Confort is there in some aspects, the seat is very plush and roomy with plenty of room to move around. The rear shock is fairly stiff for my liking but I am a lightweight and the front forks are also fairly stiff. I believe the bike is not very adjustable for those under 180lbs but if you are 180 or more the bike appears to be adjustable to your weight just fine as far

One of the greatest bikes ever
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 16, 2009Bought new in Sept 2005. Now, over 4 years later, it still looks and performs as new. Clean it with Plexus and microfiber only. Been to the track 9 times including once to Daytona. Never disappoints me. To the guy with the "Terrible Build Quality" review, you are crazy. It is built very very well. ... Better than a GSXR for sure. It's crazy to buy a used bike with 6K miles on it that clearly wasn't maintained properly and then claim that it's because of the build quality. You were stupid for buying that particular bike, you got screwed by your stupidity, and you slam everybody's 05 zx6r with your bad review. Even now, all the magazines say the 05-06 is better than the 07 thru 2010 models. I want a 2nd one!

Terrible Build Quality
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 23, 2009Picked this bike up 2 weeks ago from a dealer, had done just over 6k miles, since then its has spent 10 days in the work shop, rear sprocket carrier bearings disintegrated, calipers started vibrating so badly my hands went numb after 10 minutes riding, and clutch went badly wrong. This was my dream ... bike, now my dreams lie in tatters, i'll never buy another kawasaki as long as I live, and this is my 5th one. Bike will be getting swapped for tried and tested Suzuki GSXR 750 K5 later this week.

Ninja zx636
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 19, 2009The overall comfort, performance, value, quality, and reliability are excellent. The power is the strongest out of all the 600's I ride with. The mid range power is awesome and there are free mods you can do to release 10 to 15 more ponies. I have never been left broken down because of the quality ... of the bike, it has been very reliable.(knock on wood) Parts are reasonable to replace it you wreck or break something messing around. The bike also holds its value really well and you can always get more then book value when selling it. Over all I would not buy another 600 unless it was kawasaki, they are definitely the best sport bike around their quality is second to none!

Overall great bike for track or street.
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 18, 2008I've owned my zx-6r for 3 years now and I'm very happy with it. Its been used for dual duty on the track and street. With the proper suspension setup it'll handle very, very well. The power is amazing for a 600 class bike, the extra 36cc's really make a difference. I never had any problems ... with it mechanically either.
