ZX10r 2005 CH2 King of Kings
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 14, 2017I'm now 52yrs of age & been riding since I was 16. I've had every bike going from RD500lc to Panigale1199s. But there is only one bike I always keep buying back and that's my ZX10r 2005. I've now had 5 of them and I just cannot find a modern bike out there which gives me a smile & grin as big as ... the Grand Canyon. It's raw, and doesn't have traction, ABS, wheelie control, power modes, slide control, quick shifter. All it has is your experience to push the bike into the corners and open that throttle to propel you out like a missile. Yes you need to upgrade the brake lines to get this bike to stop on a dime and get rid of that ugly exhaust can and add a steering damper to stop your nuts getting scrambled. Once you have done thiose cheap upgrades then you have the most gorgeous looking bike which begs you to twist the throttle open. There's not many bikes out there which can do 100mph in first gear as stock and this is a 2005 plate not a bmw s1000rr which costs 13000. That's what you have to put into perspective. . The ZX10r 05 will cost you 4000 for a well looked after bike, and I owned one for 5yrs and had 52,000 miles on it and was never under 8,000rpms. So absolutely bullet proof. Get yourself one and don't put ant gadgets on it and ride the bike like it was designed to do but ride it like you stole it and you too will have a grin from cheek to cheek.

ZX-10R 2005 Best of the best
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 06, 2015Its been said don't mess with a great, or even good thing.. Kawasaki build such a thing in the Gen 1 zx-10r. I have owned the 09 and 05 and ridden the 2013 and I have to say, Kawi has never done anything as great as the 2005 zx-10r.. That bike is perfection, its sad they decide to dummy it down and ... whip it out in 2006.. why not cater to better riders that loved the gen 1 rather than worry about sales...the gen 2 was all about sales not building a good bike. The gen 1 is the most amazing bike ever built in its class..

maybe the best all round zx10r
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 06, 2014Ive had my 05 zx10r for three years which is the longest ive owned a bike so ive been thinking of upgrading. But the thing is i use mine on road and track and im not sure i could get a ything that is as torquey for the road but still pretty quick on track without spending 5000 pounds on top of the ... value of my bike and getting big bang r1 or an aprilia rsv4. thats too much money for me to shell out so i guess i will keep my old zx10r. Its obviously a good bike if i cant think of an upgrade worth doing.

My second and last bike
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 03, 2010Just to keep it simple, it weighs in around as much as a 600. It has approx 150HP to the tire. Made Cycle Worlds, " Bike of the year " in 2005. It has the Godfather of Stunting Jason Britton and 9 time drag champion Rickey Gadson as the faces of Team Green. Its only my second crotch rocket. I had ... a '05 CBR600RR last summer as my starter bike. Then unbeknown to me, I buy the Ninja and find out all these details I've listed above. If you have been riding for some time then all its gonna take is jumping on and ; as I like to say, Twisting it back till yo neck snaps, to know what you have gripped tight between your now shaking knees. If this is one of your first bikes like it was mine. Do some more research and read some more reviews. There is no one thats gonna tell you this is a P.O.S. bike and to move on to something else. The only complaint I have is one that I've read about myself. Get a steering stabilizer and get ready for some tunnel vision, from hopefully a future member of team Kawasaki, Eric " The Busa Bitch Slapper " Delashmit. 901-305-3620

By (I am an Enthusiast) on Apr 15, 2010I've been riding for over 3 years now. All year round. Its my only form of transportation and I wouldnt have it any other way. I live in Arizona where the weather is nice all the time ands we have amazing roads to ride on.
I started out on cruisers after my friends starter bike (a 91 honda ... shadow) i got a 03 kawasaki vulcan meanstreak 1500 custom, afet a year on that i sold it and bought a 07 ninja zx6r witch made me fall in love with kawasaki all over again. Sadly my bike was stolen from me on halloween of 09. so now im currently in the market for a new bike im looking around and i really want a zx 10!

SAVAGE RIDE
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 08, 2009I own a 05 zx10r which has a power commander, ignition modul, quick shifter, pipercross air filter, racefit growler, and is fully derestricted I am 23 years old and owned a few diffrent bikes now one of which was a 99 R6 Reason i say this is because the bikes to me are so similar just the zx has ... a mighty power diffrence which i will come to reason i say they are alike in some ways is the ride the r6 used to slide about on the back end but in a good way u can chuck the f****r into the corner same as the zx because it is so small and light it feels exactly like the 600 in the corner i have riden alot of other 1000cc superbikes and i find most of them top heavy making them unstable and slow through the corner i found most of them feel like the front wheel wants to slip out, unlike the zx that feels nice and stable. i feel that confident on it in a corner i can go in sideways and power slide out and still have enough power to put it on the back wheel out the corner
The acceleration is something else i ride on a small island in the english channel and the main roads are like country lanes to most of u reading this the roads are similar to the roads on the isle of man tt track, when im out on my zx i feel confident enough to speeds in excess of 180 mph and let me tell u when its singing in your ear it sounds exactly like a tt bike.
Trust me if u want a bike that u can power lift at 120 mph and sound the part Go out today and buy yourself a 05 ZX 10R Because there F*****g Awsome like i say i have ridden 04 -05 R1'S GSXR'S FIREBLADE'S AND NOTHING MATCH'S THIS EVEN MY FRIENDS SAY THAT HAVE RIDDEN IT I PERFER IT MINE ITS QUICKER HANDLE'S BETTER AND LOOKS BETTER COMES TO SOMETHING WHEN U CAN ADMIT YOUR BIKE IS KNOWHERE IN THE SAME LEAUGE

Fast and Furious
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 03, 2008This is my first 1000cc Motorcycle and man what a ride. Although it may not sound as sweet and smooth as some bikes, this ride is super fast and easy to handle in tight turns. I am 46 years old and I ride 3-4 times a week and every weekend. Long rides this may be a bit uncomfortable but for 1-2 ... hours of straight riding, its an outstanding ride. After 3 years of riding the ZX10, it is still completely stock due to the fact that this bike has so much power and torque, it doesn't need any upgrades for performance.
