  • strange n annoying noise can anyone tell me what it is ? no one seems to know.
By  (I am an Owner) on Mar 17, 2015

The bike is all around great ! Best bike I ever rode . Thing that bothers me is scrapping n screeching noise coming from rear. It gets louder longer I ride. Also what's weird is if I go tocarwash n spray uunderneath the rear near rear tire when I leave carwash the noise is extremely load ! That is ...

  • 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom
By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 14, 2011

I bought a 2009 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom back in March 2001. It was a birthday present to myself. Sense I bought the bike I haven't had any problems with it. It rides smooth and it is very comfortable bike to ride. I have changed the stock exhaust to a set of Road Burner Street Pro's. They ...

I purchased my 900 in april,10. Have approx 4,000 miles. Like the bike a great deal with a couple of exceptions. A strange noise coming from the rear wheel--appears to be consistant with rear tire speed.Seem to get louder if the bike has been out on the hwy for time at speed. Also has a scraping ...

A week ago I purchased a new 2010 vn900 Custom SE I rode KZs back in the day and was skeptical about riding a cruiser style bike. This bike handles like a dream very comfortable to rideand good power. My only complaint would be a 6th gear as highway riding has the motor thumpin really good.

  • Best Value
By  (I am an Owner) on Feb 24, 2010

The decision to buy this bike was simple...water cooled, fuel injected, belt drive, large gas tank. The bike provides a very comfortable long range riding position for 5'6" to over 6' riders. The light weight and low seat height makes this bike very manageable for women riders also. There are enough ...

  • Electrical Problems
By  (I am an Owner) on Aug 17, 2009

I bought a Custom 900 several months ago and have really enjoyed it (it is my first bike).

The problem is, it's been in the shop three times now for electrical problems. I got shocked when I started it, the blinkers all died, the battery died one day and now the back lights are dead. ...

Wish I had bought another bike.

  • A Great First Bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Jul 26, 2009

One month ago, I went shopping around, for my first cruiser, My starter bike (1992 Yamaha Seca II) had served it's purpose, and was starting to nickel and dime me.

Initially I went Hog shopping, thinking "Buy American", being over 6', I was too tall for anything in the Sportster line-up, The ...

The only model that really fit me was a Heritage, or a V-rod, Both were much bigger engines then I really wanted to start with. Having Very good credit, I was confident I would get a great deal, Then Whoa!! sticker shock, Whoa! What 14% percent rate?, Whoa doesn't include a warranty! How much for service?

I was so disheartened, by the experience. Could believe It would run over 27K out the door!

Driving home, I stopped at a Kawasaki Dealer, Just to shop, As I walked in, the first bike I noticed was the Vulcan Custom, The big front wheel and tire, long and low, and all that chrome stock. Looked like a customized model.

When I sat on it, It fit, was comfortable.

I looked on the side cover to see 900, Whoa, perfect size. I asked the price,

$7200, I was offered a very low interest rate, and under $500 for 4 yrs extended warranty, Less then my cable bill for a month!

One month later and 1300 miles, I love to ride it, I ride it everywhere!

over 50 mpg, and many compliments on it.

  • Awesome Bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Jun 12, 2009

Spent some time evaluating mid-powered cruisers. Final decision came down to 900 Special Edition or Yamaha 950 v-star. Riding position, water-cooled and looks were some of the factors that made the 900 my decision. Very happy with bike. Pipes look great and easy de-baffling makes after-market pipes ...

By  (I am an Owner) on Jun 05, 2009

this is a great bike except for the rubbing noise that hits at 20-122 mph. sounds like the belt. Dealer is deaf and cant seem to hear it even though it vibrates through the handle bars as well as emitting a loud humming sound. its not the tranny nor the engine and is consistent with wheel ...

I bought a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom Special Edition in May 2009. I have put a 1,000 miles on since I bought it. This was my first bike and it was a perfect choice. The bike handles and runs like a dream. The looks are very unique. I get a lot of looks and people can hardly believe its a Kawasaki. ...

  • this bike is awesome!!!
By  (I am an Owner) on May 11, 2009

I've had this bike for about a month now, and I have no complaints. This bike has plenty of comfort without giving up any looks. The Custom designs will turn heads of anyone who catches a glimpse of it. Plenty of power, seems like a bigger than 900cc engine. All in all I am very pleased.
