2nd to none
By (I am an Owner) on Apr 28, 2012I bought my bike, brand new in April 2008. I have owned Yamaha's and Honda''s. This is by far the best bike I have ever been on. Handling is superb on low profile. Power off the line is great, even with a passenger. I ride it to work at least 3 days a week(any excuse, right). It has 20,000 miles ... now and haven't done a thing to it except tires and oil. Consistent 52 mpg and I might add using Amsoil oil and fuel additive. This seems to increase the mileage a couple mpg.
Best regards from Watertown, TN
Sorry Photo uploader would not work for me

Awsome Ride!
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 03, 2011The Vulcan is smooth for a cruise, but stealth power when you get on it! It fits my frame perfectly and when riding we are one. It is my beauty.

This is a great bike!
By (I am an Owner) on Aug 21, 2010I traded a 2008 H-D Sportster for a 2008 VN 900 Classic and boy was I glad I did. The bike was used but only had 309 miles on (as opposed to the 2800 miles on the Sportster). The place I got it threw in a Memphis Shades windshield and traded me title for title. The only thing I've added were saddlebags. ... I love this bike and rode it from Tyler,Tx to Austin,Tx and back without any problems. The bike handles great both on the highway and around town. I'll soon add a backrest and then the bike will have everything I need. I highly recommend this bike to anyone thinking of getting a bike for both around town and long trips. Next summer I plan on taking a 2000+ mile trip and I am convinced that my VN 900 Classic will be up to the task and handle the trip with ease.

Definetly a Biker
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 31, 2010I picked up the Vulcan 900 brand new August 2008... its the best bike Ive ever had. It sits low to the ground, has great low end torque for getting off the line or for needing that extra oomph for passing on the freeway. I rode it on both long and short trips and had no problems... I did pick up ... a gel seat that made it more comfortable for me and my wife. the only thing I noticed was that the gas gage doesn't always read correctly ( it reads less gas than I have). Other than that it's a great bike for the price and very easy to customize.. which I have. If you dont have one yet.. go get one.

Just got it
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 22, 2008I picked up a left over '08 today and have been suitably impressed. I've only had it out for about 20 miles, but it's miles above any v twin I've ever owned in terms of riding experienced. Only my '02 Honda GL1500 exceeds it in terms of torque. I really like this bike so far, it's early, but no ... complaints, none. It's everything I've hoped for.

An intown bar hopper
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 12, 2008I road my 2008 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 classic from Greensboro to Charlotte (a 100 mile trip) and it just about beat me to death. After just 30 miles the bike vibration on my tail bone hurt so bad I wanted to get off the bike and park it for the day. The style was appealing and all I wanted to do was ... cruise to the mountains and beaches near by at about 200 miles away. This bike, as is will not do it for me. I'm sure the bike will make that 200 mile trip; but not without me. I have since changed the seat for comfort to a mustang and I admit, it got better by about 50 more miles. I laugh all the way to the bank when it came to gas milage. Thats' the best thing about this bike. It gets around 49 to 51 mpg and around $12.00 to fill up,but if I can't make it to my planned destination without too many buttocks stops, how can I enjoy that high gas milage and ride, the real reason I bought this bike. I wouldn't categorize this bike as a cruiser but a in-town bar hopper. Cruisers can make it out of town, but not this vulcan.

A superb mid=size cruiser
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 04, 2008I have been riding for nearly 40 yrs. now. I was partners in a motorcycle escort service for years so I was exposed to a lot of motorcycles and size ranges. Since geting a little older I have come to appreciate a smooth mid-sized classic machine that provides performance and that special eye appeal. ... For a 900cc the vulcan has all I need, good performance and dependability in a size thats easier to handle. It's met my expectations and more, and has gotten a lot of "nice bike" commets when riding. Averaging 50mpg. during high fuel costs doesn't hurt either. Thanks Kawasaki for a great machine.

El Paso to Ft Worth
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 15, 2008I rode my 2008 Kawasaki 900 Classic from El Paso, Texas to Fort Worth for a three week training. During that time I rode around the entire Dallas Fort Worth area. From the stockyards to the West End. The bike is really comfortable, handles great in traffic, on the highway, cruising around the lakes. ... In all I put 1800 hard miles on that bike in three weeks, without a single problem or worry. I would recommend this bike to anyone interested in getting a metric cruiser. I used to be one of those that would never ride around on horchata!(a mexican drink made of rice) Never again!
