Honest opinion
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 01, 2010It looks great but the quality is terrible.
We own #9, third one sold and it had parts tack welded on and some even more serious engine issues.
If you participate in military funeral processions, this bike will not perform well; it doesn't handle going slow.
If for any reason ... you have a warranty issue, they will come get the bike and then never update you on the status of it (until they find you complaining on a public blog) even after you writing & leaving messages.
It looks great but there are better assembled bikes on the market from companies who care enough to keep the owner informed as to the status.
My spouse is deployed overseas and their last response to him about the status of the bike dated 10/13 was "its worth waiting for" and an admission that their painters made an error which is extending the repair time. I don't find it appropriate to tell someone in a warzone that a bike is worth waiting for when they might not come home alive.
This particular bike is the yugo of motorcycles. it may feel comfy, it might run quiet, it may go fast but it is shoddily assembled and the customer service is nonexistant

Overpriced, undercomfortable and beautiful when stationary.
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Jul 26, 2010Got a chance to try this bike - not often you get someone generous enough to let you try a $30K bike.
I approached it with awe - it looked beautiful - just right.
From the first kick of those pistons I could have been sold - but 30 miles later I was more than happy to ... give the keys back and felt nothing more satisfying than relief.
If you want a big V-twin this ticks a lot of traditional boxes - but it feels heavy at slow speeds, agricultural at higher speeds and really hesitant settling into corners.
Ride position - well not for me.

Outstanding ride and curb appeal!
By (I am an Owner) on May 31, 2010Just bought one last week and after 350kms I have nothing but good to say about it. Have been driving a bmwf650 funduro for the past 12 years and from the start that bike had issues with stalling when hot. Dealer finally said "just keep revving it when stopped." While it was easy to handle the ride ... on the bmw was hard on the hip flexors. As for the Indian... no issues so far with the engine, lots of power at all speeds and for such a big bike it handles like a dream at all speeds. As for curb appeal... lets just say its time to print some brochures for all the questions and discussions it initiates. Will definitely buy the windshield when it comes out later this summer its hard to grin and keep the bugs out at the same time!
