awesome bike
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 23, 2011owned this bike for 3 years now and completed nearly 10,000 miles , in all that time , all it has needed was a new bulb , and a rear tyre ,
people say that its not a reliable bike , but i dont know where they get there information , as its been very reliable and strong bike , hence the review ... , its korean , i never knew that , and with a 2 year warranty , they are confident of there product , all korean products ive seen ,seem to have extensive warranty , showing build quality is better than people think , i.e samsung, kia offers a 7 year warranty
any way , good riding position , im tall , and nice size too

"I cannot decide which 250cc bike to go for"
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Nov 23, 2010Hi, I have done a lot of research over the "Hyosung GT250R" and here's the conclusion the bike is AWESOME! i have gone through many sites and gather a handful of info on this bike... its a very good bike for riders who are above 6'0 because for a 250cc bike it almost looks like a "Super Bike" and ... even for below 6'0 it looks good...
Hyosung doesn't pack a power which is available in Kawasaki Ninja 250R - Well its true... but kawasaki beats this bike by a couple of HP.. than again Hyosung Has beaten the Kawa Ninja with Torque, Hyosung GT250R has a awesome Torque... and about HP don't worry it can be increase by minor modification.
Issues; There were issue like rusting of bolts and other iron materials and there were also concern of loosing bolts and other tiny particles..these concerns were way..... back ago.. now.. 2010.. Hyosung has improved a LOT!
Price is a bit lesser than Kawasaki Ninja 250R.
Hyosung is a Korean company and its a new company.

Every day is fun...
By () on Sep 20, 2010I have been riding for over 30 years on many different brands, styles and genre of motorcycles (road racing to motocross to cruisers), and the Hyosung GT250R has got to be one of the highest on my fun factor. It is true what they say about the handling being very neutral and forgiving. I actually ... out handled a CBR a few weekends back - that surprised even me! The transmission shifting is one of the easiest I have ever used. I have followed this company for over 3 years before I made my decision and they are very proactive to customer desires and have risen to the challenge. It is very stable (much more than my Harley ever was) at speed - 80mph plus. It does look great and is easy to work on. It has a few quirks, one with the EFI at altitude (7,000 to 11,000 ft) and hope to remedy this when aftermarket Powermaster units become available. The tires are good and will be upgraded when these wear out. I plan to go with a heavier fork oil in the near future also. I love to rev it and hear that sweet 90 degree twin open up! At 60 to 70 mpg, great handling in the corners... I am very happy with this purchase. I currently have 3000 plus miles on it. It's my daily commuter that saves me over $200 dollars a month in gas. As a 250, it is quite impressive.
