Amazing Bike
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 15, 2017I have been riding bikes for years, riding primarily cruisers. A few months back I had decided to go a bit on a different route, and was suggested the Honda CB500 X. The amount of CC's had concerned me a bit, knowing I am a large man (6ft, 240lbs), and also accustom to having bikes with much more ... In the CC department.
I cannot think of one negative thing about this bike. It gets amazing gas mileage, the stock seat is extremely comfortable, there is plenty of passing power, and living in California - I am able to keep up with the 85 to 90 mile an hour traffic with no problems at all.
Two weeks ago I took a one day 500 mile trip. Aside from filling up, I never once made it to stop resulting from soreness. In addition, driving high speeds on the freeway, I still averaged 69 miles to the gallon. With my size, and the speed I was going, this is a very good economical vehicle.
The one disadvantage, which would be common for probably most bikes of this style, it does not hold up in the wind as well as A large cruiser (which I would expect).
The stock wind protector also does an amazing job, considering how small it is. I did adjust it to the top setting, and I do not have a hard time at all with the wind.
This is all a round a great bike for experienced, as well as new riders. Considering the cost of this bike, and how it handles, it is a no-brainer to purchase one.
