  • Great mid size bike
By  (I am an Owner) on Dec 25, 2019

This is my 30th bike. Mini bikes to multiple Gold Wings and maxi scooters. Giving this info just so you can understand where I'm coming from.

This is a great cruiser. It is not great for long distance freeway for most even though I enjoy it for such. The lowest gear is a bit too high and the ...

It is easy to do your own maintenance. Shaft drive for almost nothing to do but ride and change the oil every 7500 miles. Keeping the mph less than 65 and around town combo, I average 58.5 mpg. Over 65 and you start to drop to the lower 50's or even 40's.

Low saddle for those of us vertically challenged.

Accessories are plentiful due to it's long production since 1983.

Fair priced, plenty of ways to customize it, dependability, EFI, shaft, and easy to put your feet down. The only con for me was the lack of options for tubeless tires. Spoked looks good, but my personal preference is for tubeless. Not so much a con as a preference.

It's not too big that you have to pay a lot for insurance, buy a lot of gas, or get speeding tickets.

One thing for riders coming from sport bikes or scooters, you'll find it very close to the ground and likely drag hard parts when going around curves until you get used to the lower/slower cruiser style.

Dual sport, sport, scooters, and mega tourers each have their place/style but being a pirate ain't so bad if you smile sometimes.

I just purchased a Honda shadow 750 Aero as my first bike and I cannot express the simplicity of riding one. From the acceleration to the handling I am extremely impressed. I have shopped several different types of bikes trying to find one that I feel best fitted on. Make sure to try out this bike. ...
