Bought Another...
By (I am an Owner) on May 01, 2019Originally purchased brand new and immediately modded w/ pro-r hypercharger, Cobra pipes. Hit the quaker steak and lube every week. Economy downturn and out of state move forced a sale a few years later. Found another VTX 1300, same year and color as my original and snatched it up right away. ... Couldn't be happier.

Awesome Cruiser
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 09, 2018I bought this bike as a second mode of transportation and its became my FIRST. I love it. Affordable aftermarket customization and have put a LOT into this bike. Hard Saddlebags, Custom Exhaust, Engine Guards with Hwy Pegs, Custom Grips... etc. I purchased it used with low mileage and very little ... on it. Ive added so much that's almost unrecognizable as a Honda. Only issue was a battery and wiring harness and it was the battery, not the bike. The harness above the battery is a small design flaw and may need rewired if the battery is taken out often because of the "lay over" design, the wire bend and break. Easy repair though. Ive just paid mine off and have sunk around $2,000 into it with a base price of $4,300 used. STILL worth every cent. I have put many miles on it in the last 2 years of ownership, won countless "show & shine" ribbons and thoroughly enjoy every moment under the sun. Highly recommend this for advanced riders only for the power and weight sizing. If you want, there are plenty of options out there for aftermarket accessories... you just gotta find them. And, I have even been offered a $12,000 HD (not gonna say the name of the bike maker) and I said not only no, but HELL NO !! I will NEVER sell my bike or trade it for anything. it will go to the graveyard with my name on the title. Great job HONDA !!!

2004 Honda VTX 1300c
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 24, 2016I am 76 years old and bought this m/c new.I have 28,000 miles and have put it through it's paces quite often. The speedo is off by close to 10% so when it said 130 I knew I was only doing 118-120. They can go.
Off came the stock pipes, seat and handlebars. Replaced with V&H long shots, mustang ... seats and true cruiser swept back bars. Now it is comfortable.
I average 48 mpq and if I crack the throttle a lot I'm down to 45 mpg.
I use Dunlop tires and get about 8-8500 miles before replacement. I tried Michelin and got vibration when slowing down from 35 to 15 mph.
It is a great all around m/c when you have just one.
In my opinion it is the best.

excellent machine
By () on Aug 16, 2014I bought this honda preown with 21,000 miles on it, you can hardly tell it had been used at all. It started right up, no oil smoke, sounds great, excelerates very well. It sounds better than my friends Harley. It is loaded with chrome, pewter in color, handles great on the road at high speeds. ... This is the first bike i have ever owned, i would buy more just like it.

By (I am an Owner) on Aug 04, 2011This bike has been flawless, just turned 23,000 on it. Have done a lot of two up touring with all my gear, (Full saddle bags and sissy bar bag and it runs like a clock, just normal service and tires, one heck of a value. You will be happy with this machine!
