I find the 1100 Spirit to be a good highway bike. It seems light and nimble. The throttle response is good. It gets about 55 mpg on the highway at 70 mph. This is my 3rd Shadow and I've had no problems with any of them. It is very dependable, has great styling and plenty of power for highway cruising and around town commutes. I wish the seat height were a little lower and the right side foot peg a little longer but at 6'-1" is still ver comfort...
