Over 2 years now.
By (I am an Enthusiast) on Feb 15, 2015I bought my 2012 Ultra Ltd used in March of 2012 with less than 2K miles on the odometer. I now have 27K on it. I have made a couple weekend trips riding two-up and find the power very adequate for my style of riding. The only vibrations I have had come from the engine through the seat like every ... Harley rider comes to enjoy. Most of that being at idle. My wife and I both find the ride very comfortable Though I had to add taller/ adjustable passenger highway pegs for her as the rear floorboards were a bit of a stretch for her 5"1" frame. I never thought I would spend the money on a Harley Davidson (this is my third bike). However, after checking around there are very few motorcycles that hold the value better.

neutral noise and rear brake vibration
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 07, 2012Bought the 2012 limited June first. After 800 miles the transmission begins to make a tapping noise when in neutral and the clutch out. At 6800 miles and many complaints, it has gotten worse. HD says both are normal. Tried to meet with factory rep. but they haven't set it up after four requests. ... Best soloution at this point is buy a 2013 and hope it isn't going to have the same problems. Primary side bearing and seal went out at 5000 miles. Problem not connected with tranny noise is what i'm told. Warranty not worth much unless it is catastrophic. I believe the problem is that the rear belt is too tight from factory and damages primary bearing and tranny. Good luck.

Shaker
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 18, 2012Purchased a 2012 ultra Limited Aug-2011 Loved the bike. This spring went on a trip thru New Mexico,Colorado mountains. At about 6,000 miles started to notice a vibe when rear brake was applied. Has 8,000 miles on now and vibe has increased to very annoying & un-nerving in a quick stop. Dealer replaced ... rear brake rotor- still vibes. Took it back. Said they could not feel it. Went back & took a Tech for a ride- yup its there alright. 2- Techs & service writer confer-tell me its normal. Why was it not there when new I asked?? Called H-D- sending a rep to ride. Falling out of Love with H-D

2012 ULTRA LIMITED
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 30, 2012THE ULTRA LIMITED IS VERY SMOOTH RIDING AND HANDLES WELL. THE CAT IN THE EXHAUST CREATES A LOT OF HEAT AND HOLDS BACK THE 103 FULL POTENTIAL. THIS WAS THE WORSE MOVE HARLEY EVER MADE. WAS IT TO COMPLY WITH EPA OR GET YOU TO BUY MORE STUFF FROM HARLEY? LIKE A STAGE ONE KIT? BECAUSE FOR ANOTHER 1500 ... DOLLARS THEY WILL SELL YOU SLIP ON MUFFLERS BUT YET THE CAT IS STILL THERE SO YOU CAN BUY A RINEHART HEADER FOR ANOTHER 1000. OR A WHOLE EXHAUST. THE BIKE HAS A GREAT STEREO. THE FLOORBOARDS ARE JUST BARELY COMFORTABLE. The air filter assembly is very poorly made. The paint is incredible. engine runs very lean but gets 42mpg. ample storage and fuel tank.

Second one faster, smoother, and rides long
By (I am an Owner) on Feb 03, 2012Traded a 2011 limited 7800 miles in 6 months. I wanted a stage 1 upgrade, Hammock seat, Vance&Hine true duals with 3 1/2 Reinhart blck tip. and we were going to realflame the bike. 6000 to 6800 more all in. We brought a sunglow/merlow 2012 with the upgrade and no real flames. The limited is strong ... increaed about 9 horse and torque accross the board fairly even increase. Love the power and color and the sound is great. We are a double up familyso the power is solid. The dealer went deep for us the total trade difference 1000 done deal. Could not be more pleased. The ride, The power it is smooth, looks great, and we can run all day long trips 2,3 days never a problem GREAT

rear brake vibration
By (I am an Owner) on Nov 18, 2011I am the proud owner of a 2012 ultra limited. My previous Harley was a well taken care of used 93 ultra, 90th anniversary model. Loved the bike and was sorry the day it was stolen. This new bike has many improvements over the 93 however i did notice that when using the rear brake i feel a vibration ... comming from the rear end. It's not that bad and i rarely even use the rear brake but spending that kind of money on a new bike i expect better. I got a notice in the mail for the recal concerning the rear brake switch so when i took it to the dealer i mentioned the vibration. thier mechanic took it for a spin and immediately brought it back into the shop. This went on for an hour or so before beeing handed over to the lead mechanic. he changed the pads and the disc which by this time was orange from all the heat. He asked if i could leave the bike overnight, which i did. The next day he told me he contacted the factory and was told this was a normal condition. He test rode a couple of other bikes in the shop and noticed the same thing. i would like to know if anyone else out there has had the same problem or have heard of this issue.
