  • 65,000 miles and still counting.
By  (I am an Owner) on Jul 12, 2012

I got my first Motorcycles in 1972 and this one is my favorite. I love the way it feels, the way it sounds, the way it rides and the way it looks. The Bike, as a whole, is wonderful. The problem is that individually many of the parts and subsystems SUCK.

    Example

    (1) modern fuel ...

    (2) Rear swing arm hard mounted to an engine that is rubber mounted in the frame. (Who ever came up with this one is needs to be fired)

    (3) The front sprocket for the final drive is mounted under the secondary sprocket of the primary drive. (again, somebody needs to go)

    (4) when you pay $20,000 for a motorcycle it ticks you off when the chrome starts falling of bolts and other chrome bits start to get rust pits on them, oh well.

Like I said in the beginning of all the bikes I have owned I like this one the best. Sure it has problems, it's just that when my butt is in the seat and my hand is on the throttle I can't keep the smile off my face.

One last thing, yes I will buy another Harley, maybe a Road Glide.

Heavy but nimble, loaded but no gadgets, motor lacks power, (in a big way).

    Confortable, very beautiful motorcycle.
