The Iron 883
By (I am an Owner) on Jul 12, 2011This is my first Harley. Partly because of the low MSRP. It handles well. The seat is just right for me at 25 inches, I am 5'7". I rode a Honda Rebel before this and the size of the 883 is three times stronger than the Rebel. But the upgrade wasn't a shock. Experienced riders will have no problem ... with this bike. The suspension is rather low, so long rode trips should be taken at riders caution, and avoid any bumps if you don't want to get jumped a bit. The 3.3 gallon tank is decent for the size of this bike, consider the mpg of 47 street and 60 highway.
I truly enjoy this bike and believe anybody else looking for a solid affordable Harley-Davidson this is the bike for you.

Great Bike!!!
By (I am an Owner) on May 10, 2011Purchased this bike a few weeks ago and couldn't be happier. The performance is what you would expect out of an 883. The comfort is great for a small bike if you are a smaller person. I'm about 6'2" so at this height I would definitely suggest some ape hangers to get you upright. The value is unbelievable! ... It's a Harley for $8000. The sportster is one of the most purchased bikes in history and there's a reason for that. Great gas mileage as well at around 60mpg hwy. Can't beat that!
