  • No nonsense
By  (I am an Owner) on Nov 22, 2011

I've owned the FXDF for over three years now, apart from a small throttle issue early on during the warranty period this bike has been a no hassle member of the family. Owing to the harsh climate we don't ride out here much, but even when left for months on end outdoor in heavy dust, just jump start ...

  • Lucky choice for me.
By  (I am an Owner) on Jul 24, 2011

While in the Navy I rode many Japanese bikes and enjoyed them. This is the first HD I've had.

I have been a non-rider for 23 years since having a bad accident on a Kawasaki so I didn't think I wanted to ever get on another bike. For the last several years my wife has been on my case ...

This bike is made for a big guy like me (6 ft / 265 lb). The Fat Bob has a near perfect balance, awsome looks and power that I haven't even reached yet. Handling on the road is solid and in turns it is a dream as it hugs the road with those wide tires and your center of gravity down where it should be. The lower gears give plenty of acceleration and in the top ones a smooth cruising feel with a deep throaty HD growl.

HD really did a great job of designing this bike to be pleasing to the eye. Aggressive twin headlights, black powder coated engine, 2-1-2 Tommy gun double barrel mufflers, "Full metal jacket" rear shock covers and those wide tires make this a bike that really gets looks. I happen to belong to a MC and it is funny that when we have our meetings, members comment on what a cool bike it is.

If I had to do it again, I would not hesitate to buy this bike. I guess I'm pretty lucky to have a wife who would insist that I get a Harley and then find the perfect bike for us.

  • LOVE IT BUT ALOT OF ADJUSTMENT!
By  (I am an Owner) on Jan 05, 2009

I LOVE MY BIKE! LET ME MAKE THAT CLEAR! BUT, I HAVE MADE ALOT OF ADJUSTMENTS AND I STILL HAVE THINGS TO DO! WHICH REALLY BUMS ME OUT.

I AM 5'2" AND 49 YEARS OLD WITH A 29" INSEAM SOOOOOOO HERE IS ALL THE CHANGES.

FIRST, I RODE THE BIKE AS IT WITH FORWARD CONTROLS FOR ABOUT 850 MILES, ...

OVER ALL I REALLY DON'T WANT ANY OTHER BIKE THE BIG WHEELS MAKE ME FEEL VERY SECURE ON THE BIKE.

SO NOW IF I COULD JUST GET THE HANDLE BARS RITE! THIS IS MY FIRST HARLEY AND I DON'T PLAN ON EVERY GETTING ANOTHER ONE!

    HOPE YOU LIKE MY PICTURES!
