2004 Harley-Davidson Softail® Fat Boy

My first Harley was a Dyna low rider and after riding Hondas for 30+ years I fell in love with the Harley. I did a test ride on a 04 Fat boy and wow! I was in love all over again. I love the seat height and the smoothness of the soft tail ride. The fuel injection was such a huge improvement over ... the Dyna’s CV carb. No choking just turn the switch and boom! Idles perfect and acceleration is smooth. I’ll never go back to a carbureted bike.

I have been riding my Fat Boy for 7 years now and love it. The very first Harley I had was a 2004 Heritage Softail with the stock seat, bags, lights and I kept dropping the thing in parking lots. Not pretty! When I switched to the 2004 Fat Boy with a low profile seat it was a perfect fit! Mechanically ... the bike has been a dream (knock on wood) and it fits my 5' 4" 150 lb., 48 year old frame like a glove. In the years that I have been riding it I have not run across any bike that I thought out shined my baby. I did however sit on the Fat Boy Low and was amazed at how they have changed the center of gravity to make it feel like you are picking up a bicycle. Glad to know I have another 2-wheeled alternative before I have to consider a trike!!
