The best and most reliable scooter out there!
By (I am an Owner) on Jan 29, 2011It was interesting reading the negative review on this scooter. Anyone who has been around multiple brands will see that this is the best of them. My daughter goes to college where everyone rides one. This is the only one that holds up to the daily riding required on that campus. But remember ... a scooter is only as good as the dealership!! All scooters require constant maintenance and care...it's just the nature of the beast. When it's a warranty item, the dealer has been great about it, even towing it in when necessary. If you don't want to work on a scooter buy a bicycle.

By (I am an Owner) on Apr 07, 2010I wish I could give this scooter a good review but that's not possible. After only 30 miles, it became very hard to start. Factory and dealer told me ethanol is to blame. The excuses are 1)engine too small, 2) engine too finely tuned to pass emissions, ethanol lets water in tank, didn't go through ... a tank of gas fast enough, tank not full of gas, wrong stabilizer in gas, etc etc. My push mower works better than this scooter.
Factory told me twice last year this was warranty work, which of course it should be. But now they won't honor this repair as warranty work. Worthless warranty on this scooter so beware.
The jet needed to be cleaned. Ethanol isn't new, if that really is the cause. If Genuine can't make a 50 cc scooter that runs on gas with ethanol, they shouldn't make this scooter.
Also, the dealer warned me that the side mirrors are poorly made. Sure enough, one of my mirrors broke just riding down the road. That's not warranty work either - what a surprise! Honestly, if I'd bought a $600 scooter I just chaulk all this up. But I was sold on this scooter because I was told it had solid engineering and was made in Taiwan. Incidentally, my neighbor bought the exact same scooter and has the exact same problems. Do yourself a favor and take a pass on this scooter
