wow
By (I am an Owner) on Oct 13, 2010I was handed the keys to a 2009 e-ton matrix, by a friend of mine, about 2 1/2 months ago,and my jaw dropped open. I have yet to shut it. Everytime I get on the road, it preforms and rides above my expectations, and outside of a few adjustments here and there, it is pretty much maintenance free. ... I get about 65 mpg. I love the $2.75 fill up cost!
A friend of mine said "but you need a car", I said why?? I love everything about my bike. I peak out at about 35 mph, but when I drive it, I am in no hurry, so the time on the road is enjoyable. I recommend this bike to all who are thinking about getting a scooter. Try it you'll like it!!

Very Happy with this Scoot
By (I am an Owner) on Mar 31, 2009I purchased a 2009 E-ton Matrix 50 in June, 2008 from an E-ton dealer in Northeast Connecticut. I am comfortable on a bicycle but have never ridden anything motorized. This little scoot is easy to ride and has proven itself to be very reliable. I live in Rhode Island, the cost of 89 octane gas was ... over $4.00 in the summer of 2008. I've used the scoot for my 36 mile round trip commute to work and in a four month time span, I've racked up 2,200 miles. MPG for me is around 60. I weigh 200 lbs and usually run the scoot wide open, so getting the claimed 85 mpg would be a real stretch. However, if you are a supermodel and run the throttle about half way, you might get 85! No breakdowns! I replaced the spark plug and fuel filter. The plug replacment was my fault, I fouled it by letting the 2 stroke idle way too long. I replaced the fuel filter just to be cautious. Now that the weather is warming up, I'm looking forward to another great riding season. Customer support is good, the parts and service manuals are available on CD. I load it to my laptop if I feel like tinkering! This is a great scooter especially for newbies like myself. I'm planning to keep the Matrix 50 even if I upgrade to a larger scoot.
