Ducati is the only bike manufacturer as far as I'm concerned !!!!
By (I am an Owner) on Jun 04, 2013Very clean lines with a very humble posture, nothing absolutely outstanding that screams out watch out. At a glance with a little ignorance involved one just presumes a nastalgic naked cafe race bike until the name DUCATI is seen, or the exhaust tone gives it away, for those that know it! Or the ... dry clutch rattle like a rattle snake coiled up ready to strike! Brembo brakes front and rear with a rear rotor centered perfectly inside the interior rim of rear tire this making rear geometry of bike not change with hard rear braking!!!! This bike can stop faster than it accelerates!!! Not sure why other bike manufacturers dont embrace this concept!!! The whole bike is a masterful concoction of design and function sparing no expense. The most stable and predictable bike when carving through the switch backs that I have ever experienced. The power band starts where most bikes stop delivering power. My bike has some changes to it, *********exhaust, *******headers, Kevlar reinforced brake lines, just a few modist tweaks and you have a real MONSTER on your hands. I think mine is pushing around 115hp conservatively and it is still very mellow,(for an experienced rider.) Although with my changes the exhaust tone is terrifying even to Harley owner with straight pipes and I like that! I never have embraced the sound of a sewing machine at 11,000 rpm. I like a very loud low decibel perfectly tuned exhaust tone and this has it. This is one of the best bikes ever made besides other higher platform Ducati's!!!
Enjoy, Ducati is #1!!! Everyone else is just trying to catch up!!!!!!

Fantastic Ride!!!
By (I am an Owner) on Dec 29, 2010For one, I don't know why this bike is in the standard category as it is clearly a naked sport. Handles tremendously, gobs of tourque, very comfortable for a sport bike. Little light on the top end power but can still get 230 km/h out of it. Incredible city/short tour bike. I love going out for ... a day ride and ripping though the twisties with it. AWESOME BIKE!!!

Best Monster for the money
By (I am an Owner) on Sep 18, 2008Took a while to bond with my Monster S2R1000 after some 1000 cc japanese fours.
This thing grows on you but screams out for mods: full Termi system, some carbon fiber here and there, proper set-up for the fully adjustable suspension and - don't laugh: bar risers (1 inch will do the trick) ... and a Ducati gel seat. You end up with "your" bike, it rides, handles, sounds (thunder) amazing. Could not be happier, wouldn't want to trade it for anything else...
