  • Fantastic for Learners, Exciting for Journeymen...
By  (I am an Owner) on Sep 25, 2008

The S2R Dark was my first bike, 6months after getting my license.

The bike is light and nimble. The brakes are incredible - especially for that just-learning-panic-braking, or misjudement that occurs, where you've started your braking too late! The control and modulation is fantastic ...

Another item that made this bike a dream to learn on (besides the fact I'm learning on a Ducati!) was the clutch. The slipper clutch allowed so much forgiveness when down shifting at too high RPM..again, while learning. Things that any rookie could misjudge and on another bike would have been terrifying and even dangerous...the S2R let me stay in control.

Now that I've been riding it for 2 years, I still thoroughly enjoy it. I am now finally riding it the way it should be - higher revs, faster/tighter corners, etc. And it hasn't let me down, nor do I feel a "lack of" anything - no lack of power, handling, etc. The bike is outright FUN to ride...and I guess that's what it's supposed to be about!
